We have fished this lake since 1989. The first trip was an adventure. In those days, you could walk from boat to boat and never touch water. |

With the Large Mouth virus in 1999 the mass of people left but we did not give up on the lake. Now it has recovered with amazing fervor! We have, in the last year alone, caught over thirty 6 pound to 8 pound fish, and ten over 10 lbs, and a ton of fish in between. Lake Fork ranks as our favorite Bass lake in Texas. |

Lake Fork dominates the Texas Top 50 Big Bass List with 38 entries. To get on the Texas Top 50 list, it takes catching a bass over 15 pounds. In addition to these over 15 pound bass, Lake Fork has also held the state record for largemouth bass since 1986! In November 1986, a state record bass weighing 17.67 pounds was caught. This record held up until January 1992 when the current state record of 18.18 pounds was caught. |

Hollis Jointer is a guide at Lake Fork and in my opinion he is the best. He is the only guide we ever hired. I thought it would teach me more about the lake and it showed I needed to learn more about fishing. So I did. The picture of us together shows the first fish I caught at Lake Fork. |
