We started fishing this lake in 1989. The first trips were an adventure. In those days, you could get lost in the rivers a few flooded roads and creeks was all you had to go by.

A 44,752-acre reservoir impounding waters of Chambers and Richland Creeks for Tarrant County (Fort Worth) water supply and outdoor recreation. Located about an hour south of Dallas off of Interstate 45, it was built in the late 1980s. It's Texas' 3rd Largest Inland Lake .

Richland Chambers is an excellent for catfishes, crappie, white bass or hybrid stripers. Largemouth bass can be very good where you can find vegetation, Some of the best white bass and hybrids fishing in the state. Also some great crappie (both black and white) and may be area's the most consistent fishery for these fishes. .

Nanda and I love to fish for Whites on RC it is not unusall to start at 7AM and at 10Am have your limit and we are not talking about 10 inchers most the time we keep only 16 and up
